Drive For Autism Golf Classic
Held at Somerset Hills Country Club in Bernardsville, NJ the Drive for Autism Classic was created in 2011 by Blake Sports Group in conjunction with NYSE CEO Duncan Niederauer and his wife Allison. The event raises money for the Newmark Schools for Autistic and special needs children in New Jersey. In its first three years the event has raised over $600,000 for the Newmark School and continues to grow year-over-year.
Why the Newmark School? Newmark Schools (K-12) is a highly specialized school for children with learning disabilities and behavioral disorders. Newmark welcomes children from five different New Jersey counties from such towns as Bernardsville, Westfield, Elizabeth, and Plainfield. Newmark's strength is in educating some of the New Jersey's most vulnerable students on the skills they need to live healthy, happy, and productive lives. The annual Drive for Autism Golf Classic is a fundraiser benefiting the Newmark Schools. Newmark Schools are approved 501 (C)(3) non-profit groups.
