George Brett

 

George Brett was born in Glen Dale, West Virginia and played third base for the Kansas City Royals .George played his entire 21-year baseball career for the Kansas City Royals. George’s 3154 career hits are the most by any third baseman in major league history, 15th all-time. George is one of four players in MLB history to accumulate 3000 hits, 300 home runs, and a career .300 batting average with the others being Hank Aaron, Willie Mays and Stan Musial. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999. Some of his career highlights and awards include 13x All-Star selection, World Series Champion (1985), Gold Glove Winner (1985), AL MVP (1980), 1985 ALCS MVP. George retired in 1993 and is currently a Vice-President with the Kansas City Royals.
